Frequently Asked Questions

1.What color service should I book?

Partial vs. Full Highlight
A Partial will focus on what you can see from the front and a bit through the crown. Whereas a Full is the underneath as well.

Painting is a modern technique used to highlight hair.
The effect can vary from naturally sun kissed to dramatic contrast.
The organic approach leaves the end result be a much softer than the hard lines and regrowth when using foils.

Gloss (also referred to as a toner or glaze)
Color is refreshed with a single all-over treatment.

Single Process
Single Process is all over color. Root touch up, Grey coverage and even color throughout.

Double Process aka Bleach & Tone
A two step process (sometimes more). Using bleach on the scalp as well as the length.
Bleaching is to practically strip all of the color from the hair.
Toning is to put pigment, tones of chosen color, back into the hair after is has been bleached.

If you are still not sure what to book feel free to give us a call with any questions. We will be happy to assist you.

2. How do I tip?

Gratuity is left to your discretion but it must be made in cash. We can not add gratuity on a credit card. In NYC it is customary to tip 20% of the service to a salon professional. It is also encouraged after receiving a complimentary service such as a bang trim. Tipping the assistant of your colorist or stylist is also greatly appreciated.

3. I can’t make my appointment. Now what?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. We respect your time as well as ours. Appointment reminders are sent via email in advance of your appointment. You can email, call or leave us a voicemail the day before to confirm, reschedule or cancel an appointment. If you no show and do not cancel 24 hours in advance we will charge 50% of the service. We understand that a medical/life emergency can not be predicted. We mindfully consider such occasions and have understanding when they occur, just give us a call to discuss.
